I
have loved pets all of my life.
Growing up I had dogs and frogs.
When I went to college I rescued my first cat.
She was very spoiled!
While still attending Baylor University, I was given a toy poodle
which I certainly adored.
She was my inspiration for my future poodle children.
I have been involved in animal rescues, adopting out animals and
breeding. All of this taking
place while I was teaching full time.
My husband, Mark, and I retired from our careers in the Houston
area and built a house in the hill country.
We decided to devote all of our time to our new career of
breeding and raising quality tea cup and tiny toy poodles.
I have always enjoyed learning.
Perhaps that explains two master degrees.
However, I decided it was time to concentrate on learning
everything I could about animal care.
When you have a passion for animals you want the best possible
care for your own and others.
Through extended education once again, I became an animal expert.
I have been nicknamed Dr.
Dolittle by a number
of people. I began to
receive phone calls from friends and past poodle clients asking me to
groom, pet sit, give advice on pet behavior problems, and to help with
their ailing pet.
After many such favors, I decided there must be a need and felt God was
leading me in a new direction.
God has blessed me with a talent and love for animals.
I am now using my talent, passion and knowledge not only to
breed, but also to bring to you the best possible care you can receive
for your pet(s) while you are away.
Kay and I officially began Hill Country Pet Sitters Plus on
November 20, 2007. We are
both devoted to our animal clients.
We are trustworthy, honest, dependable, loving, and energetic.
Our expertise is with dogs, cats, horses, birds, turtles, guinea
pigs, goats, chickens,
fish, and rabbits.
Don’t worry though, if your animal isn’t listed, you can
still call us.

I
have loved and cared for animals all my life.
Thought at one point I’d become a veterinarian but realized I couldn’t
stand to see anything not make it.
I became an accountant by trade and an animal lover by choice.
I’ve always had dogs and cats and anything else I could chase
down, catch, and take home with me.
I remember one time I hid an orphan squirrel in my closet till it
was discovered by my mother.
To this day I still chase down and catch any animal that needs my help.
I’ve had just about every pet there is to have at one point of my
life. I always dreamed of
owning a horse when I was a young girl.
That dream didn’t become a reality until I was an adult.
I’ve owned and raised horses now for over twenty years.
Right now I have two horses, three dogs, two cats, and of course
the two guinea pigs I love.
I’m not sure my husband realized quiet how much I loved animals and how
many we would always have around us.
At this point in my life I want to do something fun and useful.
Pet sitting just seemed to be the natural choice.
With the combined back grounds of Carol and myself and with the
additional training we’ve had we are the best choice to watch and care
for your pets. We’d love to
meet and get to know you and your pet.
